Omo-Agege,His Suspension And Return To Nigeria Senate

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege,the senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly has returned to senate after his suspension.

He returned to the senate this morning after he was suspended by the senate in April after his comment at a press conference that the proposed amendment of the 2010 Electoral Act to change the sequence of election set by INEC was targeted at president Mohammadu Buhari.

The Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges initially recommended his suspension for 181 legislative days for his comment but the senate president Bukola Saraki reduced it to 90 days.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege couldn't take his suspension with any seriousness and so appeared to the house the very day the senate was having its plenary.

Just few seconds he made his way in to the house, came a good number of unknown thugs who came as if they were working for senator Ovie and disrespectfully took the Mace away, symbol of authority.

Then the situation became more intense for Ovie Omo-Agege. He thereafter sued the senate to court and court ruled in his favor and was made to return to senate.

Omo-Agege who was expected to resume yesterday being Tuesday didn't show up for reasons best known to him.

At his own will, senator Omo-Agege returned to the senate today Wednesday at about 10:30am!!!
